26th February, Newport County vs Tranmere Rovers – Charity of the day.
Made a Mark were invited to Rodney Parade to be Newport County’s charity of the day! We thoroughly enjoyed the day talking to supporters about how we support bereaved children with our memory boxes.
Links were also made with professionals in the Gwent area who come into contact with bereaved children and how we can help support them.
Newport County generously donated a signed football top and signed football towards our raffle on the day, of which £400 was raised! This is the second time the team have chosen to support us, back in December the team donated match tickets for our Christmas raffle.
There was also a great result on the pitch for Newport as they secured a crucial 4-2 victory against promotion rivals Tranmere, excellent work!
As a charity we can’t thank the team enough for their support and can’t wait for more collaborative working in the future.
